Churfirsten Marathon in relief
Unterwasser · 43 km · 2'910 m D+
The 43 km and 2,900 m of climbing of the Churfirsten Marathon as a relief, a loop from Unterwasser.
The Churfirsten Marathon course starts in Unterwasser in the Toggenburg and climbs quickly to the Gamserrugg, above 2,000 m. After a short descent it reaches the Chäserrugg, the high point, then follows the Churfirsten chain across a long high plateau above Lake Walen. The relief clearly shows the contrast between the gentle Toggenburg side and the sheer cliffs facing the lake. The route passes the foot of the Selun, loops up to around 2,200 m and returns via Selamatt. Raced in August.
The relief comes from swisstopo elevation data, accurate to the metre; the race line is drawn on top. On the front band of the base we engrave your name and your time; underneath, the race, the date, the distance and the elevation gain. 12 × 12 or 18 × 18 cm, made to order in 7 working days, free delivery in Switzerland.
