Between the Maloja and St. Moritz, above 1,800 m, the Upper Engadine strings its lakes along a wide, bright valley: Sils, Silvaplana, Champfèr and St. Moritz. Over 16 km, the relief shows this chain of lakes between the slopes, the Bernina range to the south and the passes at the head of the valley. Home ground for cross-country ski marathons, bike rides and Engadine trail races.
