The ETC is the shortest distance of the UTMB week: a 15 km loop starting and finishing in Courmayeur in the Aosta Valley. With 1,200 m of ascent, it climbs the slopes above the village, facing the Italian side of Mont Blanc. The relief shows where the Val Ferret and Val Veny meet, Courmayeur on the valley floor and the great wall of the massif towering above. A piece centred on the southern side of Mont Blanc. Raced at the end of August.
