Morat-Fribourg in relief
Morat → Fribourg · 17 km · 388 m D+
The 17 km of Morat-Fribourg in relief, from Morat's old town to the finish in Fribourg, with your name and time engraved under the base.
Every first Sunday of October, Morat-Fribourg retraces the path of the messenger who, as legend has it, ran to Fribourg with news of the 1476 victory and a linden branch in hand. The course leaves Morat under the arcades, crosses the countryside via Courgevaux, Courlevon and Courtepin, then tackles the climb at La Sonnaz, the moment everyone waits for. The final kilometres lead through Granges-Paccot into Fribourg. On the piece, you follow the race from town to town and finally see why the second half hurts so much.
The relief comes from swisstopo elevation data, accurate to the metre; the race line is drawn on top. On the front band of the base we engrave your name and your time; underneath, the race, the date, the distance and the elevation gain. 12 × 12 or 18 × 18 cm, made to order in 7 working days, free delivery in Switzerland.
