The K31 course, the Scenic Trail’s “Skyrace”, is a shorter loop from Tesserete, north of Lugano. Where the K54 reaches the ridges at the head of the Val Colla, the K31 focuses on a single summit: Monte Bar at 1,816 m, reached by steep, technical climbs. The relief shows that ascent above the Capriasca, followed by the long descent back to the valley and the finish. Lake Lugano and the Cassarate valley lie below on the piece. Raced in June.
