The 16–17 km of the Eiger Ultra Trail E16 as a relief, a short loop around Grindelwald.
The E16 is the shortest distance of the Eiger Ultra Trail: a loop of around 900 m of climbing from Grindelwald. The relief shows the opening section heading towards the Wetterhorn, then the climb to Wittegg above Bort, the high point at roughly 1,600 m. The trail continues via Nodhalten and Holewang before a quick descent back into the village. On the piece, the loop covers the valley floor and the first pastures beneath the outline of the Eiger. The race takes place in July.
